This 450Mbps Wireless N Gigabit Router is an upgraded version with a brand-new exterior and better performance. Featuring a brand-new chipset solution, the TL-WR1043ND can provide users with faster wired/wireless speed and stronger wireless coverage for an improved networking experience.

The router is equipped with a USB storage port on its rear panel, convenient for sharing printers, files and media with everyone on the network.

How to log in the router TL-WR1043ND?
1. Set up the TCP/IP Protocol in Obtain an IP address automatically mode on your computer.
2. Open a Web Browser -> Type http://tplinkwifi.net in the address bar -> Press Ente, and log in with the username and password you set for the router. The default one is admin for both username and password. If you can not visit this IP, you can try 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.

3 external 5dBi antennas combined with higher quality antenna technology provide users with larger wireless coverage and stronger wireless signal intensity from anywhere in your large home or office.

With 5 built-in gigabit ports and a Hardware NAT function, the wireless router provides powerful data processing capabilities. Its NAT WAN to LAN throughput can achieve up to 800Mbps+ allowing users to unleash the full potential of their networks.

Some reviews: I’ve been using a TP-WR1043ND (192.168.1.1) router for several months without any problems now. However the wifi-signal in our house is not strong enough to reach everywhere. Therefore I set up an extra TL-WA801ND access point (same SSID with ip 192.168.1.254) and this worked perfectly for several weeks.

However now I added an additional access point (TL-WA901ND with IP 192.168.1.63) on the network to increase range in the backyard. I set it up in the same way as the other access point with a wifi channel nicely between the other two signals. The router is at channel 2, the 801ND is at channel 9 and the 901ND is at channel 6.

This works well directly after setup, but after about an hour or so the wifi loses it’s internet connection. The mobile devices (both cellphones and laptops) stay connected to the SSID, but there is no internet connection anymore. Meanwhile devices connect by utp (like PS4 and PC) do seem to have a working internet connection, so it’s a wifi related issue.

Some reviews: I get signal with the 2.4 throughout my entire 4,000sqft property. In a couple directions, it must pass through 4 walls but I still got useable signal.

Set up is easy. I’ve tested several of TP-Links routers and from the first to the last, it has never taken me more than 5 minutes from opening the box, to the time I had my first device paired to its Wi-Fi. If you ever have a problem they offer great 24hr customer support. I tested this out a couple times too and fielded them some uncommon and technical questions; they always knew the answers right away or within seconds.

This router is truly great looking. It is white, sleek and has nice blue lights. It sits vertically, rather than horizontally like most routers. I actually find that the upright design improves the performance/coverage, since the antennas sit much higher. The 3 antennas can be pointed to any direction, but I found that keeping the left and right antennas at a 45-degree angle and the center antenna straight up, gave the best coverage and performance. I had many connected devices (including smart devices) and found no stability issues during my testing. The dual core CPU definitely makes a big difference in this case. A lot of similar routers don’t come with one! I had no issues with Wi-Fi coverage around my home, and even had great signal in my backyard.

192.168.1.1 Admin Wireless Security Settings is very important. Many users only pay attention to the transmission speed but ignore the security of wireless network.

According to the survey, 90% of the network intrusion is caused by the wireless router is not corresponding to the 192.168.1.1 security settings. Here are a few basic security settings that can help you stay away from most of the threats.

Disable DHCP features
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol,General router DHCP is enabled by default, so that all wireless devices within the signal range can be automatically assigned to the IP address, which left a great security risk. An attacker can easily get a lot of information about your router by distributing the IP address, so disabling the DHCP feature is necessary.

Wireless encryption
General wireless AP or router has WEP encryption and WPA encryption, WEP includes both 64-bit and 128-bit encryption type, as long as enter 10 or 26 x 16 string as encrypted password can protect your wireless network.
WPA make networks more secure and reliable. Should be noted that wireless router wireless encryption is turned off when they go out, but if you give up this function, then your network is a network of severe insecurity, it is recommended that you set this feature is enabled.

Turn off SSID broadcasting
SSID is the name of your wireless network access. When searching for a wireless network, your network name will appear in the search results. Once an attacker to leverage common initialization string to connect to a wireless network, extremely vulnerable to your wireless network, so I strongly recommend that you turn off SSID broadcasting.

Set the IP filtering and MAC address list
Because each network card’s MAC address is unique, you can increase security by setting the MAC address list. After the IP address filtering feature is enabled, only IP addresses in the list of MAC users can access the wireless network, the other is not in the list can not be connected to the network.

Router is our daily Internet access to an indispensable network equipment, but the Internet continues to play advertising? Do not kill the virus? Your router may be “black”! Just click on the link, QQ password, chat records, online banking passwords instantly sent to hackers! The reason is that many routers loopholes and back door! How to carry out the corresponding security settings?

First of all, we need to log into the router`s web management interface, here, I demo with TP-LINK router, router, the other interlinked) if we did not modify the router login IP, then for the router, landing address 192.168.1.1, well general default user name and password are admin.

1, the router management page for password changes, after landing router successfully, we choose “system management” settings, and then select the management control”. Enter the password to be set, must be more complex, and can not set up 123456 or so! After the success of the input Click Save, and then the router management page will automatically exit, and then enter the password later set the password to log in

2, modify the router management login IP, after the success of the re landing router, we choose the network parameters settings, and then select the LAN port settings”. And then we modify the default login IP, here, for example, I entered the: 188.156.1.1, we can according to the format to fill out the IP address, and then the subnet mask settings do not modify, and then click save. Then routers save settings and settings to take effect, generally speaking routers need to reboot and settings to take effect, then after we landed the management interface of the router, it is necessary to us to set the IP input, the original IP address of 192.168.1.1 will cannot log into the router management interface, the realization of the network security settings.

3, must be on the WiFi encryption, we choose the “Wireless Settings” settings, and then choose wireless security settings”. Select WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK encryption, enter a complex password below. (the shortest is 8 characters, the longest is 63 ASCII code characters or 16 64 hex characters) do not set 12345678 simple digital password!

4, do not easily reveal the password to others. After giving a password to a stranger should be immediately modified wifi.
